Bellhaven Canine & Equine began with a simple truth: animals have always been at the heart of our family. What started as a small dream on our Anakie property has grown into a place where Border Collies, horses, riders, and families come together with purpose, care, and connection.
For years, Bellhaven Border Collies, our horse agistment services, and our riding school lived side by side — three passions running in parallel. As our community grew, it became clear that they weren’t separate stories at all. They were chapters of the same one. So Bellhaven Canine & Equine was born: a home where our dogs, our horses, our riders, and the people who love them are part of one shared vision.
Every puppy we raise, every horse we care for, and every student who learns to ride here is supported by the same values that built Bellhaven from the ground up — welfare first, ethical practices, transparency, and genuine relationships. Our ranch is a place where animals are understood as individuals, where families feel supported, and where the bond between humans and animals is celebrated every day.
Bellhaven is also a family legacy. It’s the place where my daughter grows up surrounded by the magic of good dogs, good horses, and good people. It’s shaped by the same community spirit that guides my work as a CFA volunteer — showing up, helping others, and building something that lasts beyond ourselves.

Daily Life on the farm
Life at Bellhaven is dictated by the rhythm of our regional Australian farm. From the early morning chill to the warm afternoon sun, our dogs and horses live as nature intended—active, engaged, and surrounded by space. Our Border Collies are raised right in the heart of our operations, exposed to the everyday sounds of tractors, farm machinery, and the chatter of our children, ensuring they grow into robust, unfazed companions.
Puppies aren't just raised in a kennel; they are born into our home and socialised through gradual exposure to the wider property, various textures, and other animals. Likewise, our horses benefit from a kind, patient care philosophy that prioritises their physical and mental welfare. This down-to-earth environment creates level-headed animals that are as healthy in spirit as they are in body.

Our key helpers are an extension of our family, bringing deep experience in livestock work and animal socialisation. They ensure every puppy is exposed to a variety of sounds and socialised with children, preparing them for their forever homes.
